We’re glad you’re here! Take an exciting step with us into the future of the conservation and celebration of Beaumont, Texas’s cultural resources.
With six museums, dozens of historic buildings, multiple performing art venues and several public parks, Downtown Beaumont Cultural Arts District (DBCAD) has a lot to do! Really, a lot. Plan for extra days. You’ll need them.
The mission of the Downtown Beaumont Cultural Arts District is to promote the cultural and economic development of historic Downtown Beaumont by serving as a unified and structural approach to the organization of art related events in the district, by providing aid to artists both local and visiting, and by securing funding for artists, art events, and conservation efforts.
DBCAD exists to form a strong line of communication the organizations within the district can use to collaborate with each other and interact with the public. Many of these organizations have been around for decades!

On September 5, 2019 the Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA) voted to designate downtown Beaumont a State of Texas Cultural District. Just over 40 cities in the state have received such a distinction since the Texas Legislature created the designation in 2005. This award deems our Downtown District eligible for significant grant funding to enhance our promotion of the arts and tourism.
